East Morgan County Hospital (EMCH) in Brush, Colorado is a critical access facility providing a full array of health care services. The hospital features a Level IV Trauma Center; an attached physician's clinic, Brush Family Medicine; a visiting specialists' clinic; and the Alonzo Petteys Rehabilitation Center, which offers a complete range of rehab services including a warm water therapy pool. EMCH has completed three phases of a four-phase remodel project, with the last phase, the surgery suite. Completed are a new emergency room, updated nurses station, expanded laboratory and medical imaging departments, expansion of the Sleep Lab, addition of a new Brush Family Medicine clinic, relocation of the Physician Specialty Clinic, and remodel of admissions area, hospital lobby, and gift shop.

The Licensed Practical Nurse performs administrative and clinical duties, such as assisting the provider with patient care by preparing the patient for exams and procedures. The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for some patient education, completing referral forms, communicating with pharmacies and patients by phone and scheduling outpatient testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Must demonstrate proficiency in clinical areas of patient care.
Must have the visual and auditorial ability to assess patient conditions, the ability to write patient assessment and vital data into charts, and the ability to verbally communicate with patients, staff, providers and families.
CPR certification is required.
Requires current license as a Practical Nurse from the State Board of Nursing in the appropriate state.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience as an LPN in a clinic setting preferred.
