The role of the Nurse Practitioner is to provide advanced nursing care to meet the specialized psychologic needs of patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions. The NP practices in any setting in which patient care requirements include complex monitoring and therapies, high-intensity nursing intervention, or continuous nursing vigilance within the range of high-acuity care.
Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice; current nurse practitioner certification in specialty in the state of practice. Masters degree in nursing required with a minimum of five years of clinical expertise working with the patient population. Demonstrates proficiency in computer applications and database management. Requires ability to communicate effectively with others. Exhibits a professional demeanor and interpersonal skills.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
